You hear the soft chirping from the birds. The light rays brush through the trees and warm your cold bones. The river ebbs and flows off in the distance. The smell of ash and smoke fill your nostrils.
There’s nothing quite like waking up to have breakfast in the woods.
Last summer Chelsea and I moved to Granite Falls to be closer to the mountains. Chelsea was pregnant, so she couldn’t do all the epic hikes she was used to doing. So one morning we decided to just get out and have a nice breakfast in the woods.
I can’t tell you how great it was to have Mountain Loop Highway practically in our backyard.
